From the author of One Pink Line comes a story about letting go of the past and finding bravery in the depths of fear. Set on the sun-soaked beaches of Thailand and the rough waters of the Indian Ocean, The Unimaginable paints a vivid portrait of a young woman on a journey to find herself—and her harrowing fight for survival.

After twenty-eight years of playing by the rules, Jessica Gregory moves from her small Indiana town to Phuket, Thailand. But her newfound routine is upended with the arrival of Grant Flynn, a captivating, elusive man who is sailing around the world while trying to move on from a past tragedy. Jessica volunteers to help crew Grant’s boat, Imagine, on a passage across the Indian Ocean and finds herself falling in love with him as the voyage gets underway. But when disaster strikes, Jessica must summon her courage as the crew is confronted by unspeakable terrors––and, aboard a boat named for such promise, comes the unimaginable.

The Unimaginable by Dina Silver is a story of a twenty-eight year old woman named Jessica Gregory that has lost her mother two months ago and her teaching job forty-five days ago. She's decided that it's time to live her life she wants to versus what she's been given. She takes her first flight to Phuket, Thailand to live her dreams! She's teaching English at Tall Trees Academy under a teacher exchange program and shortly after being accepted she was also given the assistant director position at the school.  She also working as a waitress at The Islander Bar & Grill. She also created The Red Thread that provides school uniforms to the students free of charge.
Later after she has accrued four weeks of vacation time she wants to sail so she posts an ad as a crew member down by the docks. She gets a lucky spot on the Imagine that will take a three week passage from Phuket to Sri Lanka and then across the Indian Ocean through the Gulf of Aden, up the Red Sea, and into Egypt. Unbeknownst to her, she made a decision that would uproot her life again and nearly cost her, her life.

Grant Flynn is the ship owner of the Imagine. His family's is in the hospitality business. He also owns a company that books very exclusive vacations for people who can afford priceless travel experiences. He also donates supplies, money and time to Tall Tree Academy where he first meets Jessica. He carries a leather binder with him most of the time that holds him in his past. One that will shock you and also Jessica...

Can she keep her heart from going adrift?

All is going well until....you awake from a dream to find yourself in a nightmare. There are seventeen Somalian pirates aboard the ship. Your heart skips a beat, your doused in sweat and scared as hell. They spend the next five days with them on board the Imagine being starved, beaten with no hope of ever getting off alive. Seeing them shoot and kill their own people, even the young boy that was giving them ice for wounds and sips of water. I'll leave the rest for you to read and find out for yourselves.

What happened next changed me forever. Aboard a boat named for such hope and promise came ... the unimaginable. -Jessica

The Unimaginable deserves 4 stars!! It was a book I don't typically read and I'm glad I took a chance on it and I think you should too. Sometimes it is nice to step out of your comfort zone and see what other great authors are out there!

Dina Silver is an author, a wine drinker, and an excellent parallel parker. She is the author of Kat Fight, Finding Bliss, and One Pink Line, which was chosen as a 2012 Top Title by IndieReader and was a finalist in their 2012 Discovery Awards. She lives with her husband, son, and twenty-pound tabby cat in suburban Chicago. She’d prefer to live where it’s warm year round, but then she’d never stay home and write anything.
