Review: If I Were You By Lisa Renee Jones

If I Were You
By Lisa Renee Jones
Published September 13, 2012

The steamy first installment in the Inside Out erotic romance series by Lisa Renee Jones, in the bestselling tradition of Fifty Shades of Grey.

When Sara McMillan finds a stack of journals in a storage unit, she's shocked and enthralled by the erotic life the writer led. Unable to stop reading, she vicariously lives out dark fantasies through Rebecca, the writer--until the terrifying final entry.

Certain something sinister has happened, Sara sets out to discover the facts, immersing herself in Rebecca's life. Soon she's working at the art gallery Rebecca worked at and meeting Rebecca's friends. Finding herself drawn to two dangerously sexy men, the manager of the gallery and a famed artist, Sara realizes she's going down the same path Rebecca took. But with the promise of her dark needs being met by a man with confident good looks and a desire for control, she's not sure anything else matters. Just the burn for more.

Words cannot express how amazing this book is. Lisa Renee Jones takes the category of romantic suspense to a whole new level! It had me on the edge of my seat and never mind the hotness level is off the charts! This book just drew me in, held me by the collar and never let go! I was second guessing my theories the entire time I was reading and I loved every second of it!

When Sara McMIllian’s friend buys an abandoned storage lot and stumbles across a set of journals she is immediately thrown into a world she could only dream of. Working a dull and boring job as a waitress, these journals fascinate her. She is immersed into them as the author, Rebecca, tells a tale that is sexy, hot, and mysterious. Being an art major, Sarah is drawn the gallery that is mentioned in the journal. When she finds that the author of the journals is for all purposes disappeared, she starts to feel like there is something more to the story. She has read the journals and knows her darkest deepest secrets. Enter the artist, Chris Merit and the gallery owner, Mark Compton. From what she has read, she knows they are in the journal even though Rebecca never mentions any names. It’s a fascinating tell of figuring out the who and the what and has your head spinning with possibly in the meantime!

There are so many questions that need answered, what happened to Rebecca? Who is the mysterious but dangerous man labeled as the Master in the journal? Who can Sarah trust and who is spinning the truth? This book is at the top of my list as one of my favorite books to read! I highly recommend this series! If I could give 10 stars I would!
