Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She's tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she's a magnet for men who don't deserve her.
A week's vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.
Super-successful serial seducer Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn't date, he doesn't stay the night, and he doesn't make any promises.
It should be a match made in heaven. But rules are made to be broken.
A Week in New York is the first in a series of three novellas.

The Empire State Series concludes in New Year in Manhattan.
Anna and Ethan are separated by the Atlantic Ocean. Their previous rules no longer apply.
In order to make things work, Anna needs to let go of her past and take a risk with Ethan. Ethan needs to learn how to deal with the ambiguity of a relationship.
Long-distance relationships are never easy and their relationship is fragile. For how long can it survive under the pressure of separation? Are either of them prepared to give up what they have for the other?
But distance isn’t the only obstacle Anna and Ethan face. Ultimately they have to decide whether they want to share a future together.
As you may or may not know but I have fallen in love with serial novellas. I just love them! I love that they give you quick read with a steamy story line that doesn’t take me hours to invest in. With a New Year in Manhattan we get the conclusion to Anna and Ethan’s story. The first novel I thought was ok but in the second novel it picked up steam and I was hooked. I thought Louise Bay did a great job of giving us a good story in a short package and I didn’t miss all the fluff that goes with a full length novel. We still got a good story line, great chemistry between characters, and characters I wanted to fall in love with! With a 4 star read I would recommend this series to my friends!
Anna and Ethan have had several months together in London but now it’s time for him to go back to New York. Anna and Ethan both struggle with not having the other next to them as they have gotten so used to. But with them having an ocean between them also the self-doubts start to play in. Does the other one want the same things, can they be faithful to each other, can they make a long distance relationship work??
“Wounded because she thought I didn’t have more self-control, but most of all I was fucking devastated that she could feel about me the way I felt about her- not if she thought that I could ever want anyone else.” Ethan.
Thankfully they are only apart for 3 weeks before they are reunited. Again the chemistry between them is smoking and off the charts! Ethan has never felt this way towards another woman and decides on New Year’s Eve he will ask her to marry him. But when their dinner conversation, Anna confesses that she has no desire to get married unknowing Ethan is going to propose. This revelation is devastating to Ethan and he decides not to go through with his plans. With Anna returning to London, can they make things work now that Ethan knows they are both after different things are will Anna realize his grand plans and make her own grand plan to make it up to him??? You will need to read to find out! But I loved the ending and could not image it any other way.
“I wanted her forever and a ring wasn’t what was going to guarantee that. I would just have to work hard every day to convince her to stay.”- Ethan
I write sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind I like to read. My books Faithful and Hopeful are stand-alone novels although there are some overlapping characters. The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, I love all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so I'll settle for books and films.
I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don't have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
