What would you do to improve your life? Twenty-one-year-old Serena Thomas is faced with a tough decision. Unable to get ahead of debt and loneliness since her grandmother’s death she finds a new job, placing the sheltered virgin in an underground escort business. She tells herself it’s just a temporary life choice, but destiny has a different plan. She meets a mysterious and gorgeous man, who happens to be her new boss. Will Serena fit in or will she be left all alone again? Lincoln (aka: Linc) Jefferson has an unusual life. He established The Lounge, an exclusive escort club for very personal reasons. A place where the women say who, when, and what type of sex they’re willing to have. The escorts possess all the power and the money. It’s a business Linc guards at all costs. Trying to maintain the secrecy is a constant challenge and one that’s tested when he enters into a relationship with Serena. She tempts him unlike any woman, even though he’s surrounded by beauty on a daily basis. The more time they spend together the harder it is for him to keep his secrets. Will Serena stand by his side or will she abandon him? Sparks and passion fly, taking these two on a journey neither could have expected. Contains mature content and language. Not recommended for readers under the age of eighteen due to sexual situations and subject matter.
BOOK 2= SERENITY, release fall 2015.
Intensity by C.C. Koen is a love story with a hint of mystery that will intrigue you from the very beginning and keep you wondering until the end. The handsome Lincoln Jefferson will make you swoon with his businesslike exterior that softens when he is in the presence of the ever innocent Serena. This book was a 3.5 star read for me and I cannot wait to see what comes next for this couple.
Serena has hit rock bottom after her Gram dies, leaving her with more debt than one person can handle. Working three minimum wage jobs to try and chip away at the immense amount of money she owes; Serena meets Mylaynee while catering a function and is offered the opportunity of a job that could be the answer to all of her problems. When Mylaynee informs Serena that the job is as an escort at an exclusive club she is more than shocked, especially since she is a virgin. With few options and bills that continue to pile up, Serena take an interview with Linc hoping that she can leave sex off the table and still make some decent money to get herself out of debt. During that interview with Linc when he informs her that she will be exclusive to him, Serena realizes that all bets are off when it comes to this dark haired sexy stranger.
As Serena begins her job for Linc, bar tending in the lounge of the club, she realizes that things may be more then they seem. For the first time in a long time she begins to make friends that will soon turn into family with some of the girls that live in the apartments that are in the building of the club. Spending each night sleeping in Linc's bed has her feelings for him growing to be more than she expected and the issues that it causes for her, are never more than her fiesty self can handle.
Since C.C. Koen requested that review of this book not have teasers or spoilers I am keeping my review super brief, hoping that I will entice you enough to pick up this book to see what it is all about. Some of the questions will be answered while I am sure that others will be revealed in the continuation of Linc and Serena's story in the next book in the series.
Where does Linc go every Sunday, all day and night? Why does he have her in his bed every night but B.B. claims that she is the one who satisfies him sexually? What is Linc hiding?
