Jim Brason, an alpha whore, is on a fast track to fame and money. In all this craziness, the one person who keeps him sane, keeps him whole is Bliss. He’s been in love with her since before forever, but she doesn’t know and can never find out. He’s a firm believer that history repeats itself. With his tainted past, he’s afraid he’s fated to hurt her if he allows himself to follow his heart.
Bliss watched this boy grow into a man and it wasn’t fair that someone else would get to keep him when in her heart, she knew he only ever belonged to her.
Can their friendship survive? Can she live pining over a guy who will never commit? She doesn’t want to live like this, but she doesn’t know a life without him either.
EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED is a story of Love, Loss, and Longing for the boy you grew up loving.
Everything Has Changed was a standalone novel that will make you really understand what it means to follow in your parents footsteps. I would rate this book a 3.5 and would recommend to others. I guess I have to rate a little low because I felt like it took a long time for Bliss and Jimmy to finally come to terms with there feelings for one another, there were times when I wanted to smack Bliss and say come on tell him already and the same holds true for Jimmy... And this would have a been a great story to have the POV of Jimmy so that we could have understood where he was coming from in the beginning. This was the first book I read by Mia Kayla but I find myself intrigued by her writing and will definitely follow in the future.
Bliss and Jimmy have known each other since they were kids but never once did they act on any feelings they felt through there teenage years into adulthood. When both of there lives are turn upside down by tragic events it will push them farther apart. Although they hold there friendship together while they are living in separate states things will start to spark when Bliss sees Jimmy again in a nightclub. But for Bliss she gets the feeling it is only one sided...and Jimmy does nothing to set her straight. When things change and feelings come out they both intend to make it work until devastation will hit again and Jimmy's insecurities will get the better of hiss will try and move on but will she be able too??? Will Jimmy even get over the fact that he won't hurt Bliss like his father hurt his mother???
Mia Kayla is a New Adult/Contemporary Romance writer who lives in Illinois. On the weekdays, she can be caught wearing a suit, commuting to her corporate job in downtown Chicago and raising three beautiful munchkins in the suburbs, four if you count the husband.
In her free time she loves reading romance novels, jamming to boy bands, catching up on celebrity gossip and designing flowers for weddings.
Most of the time, she can be caught on the train with her nose in a book sporting a cheeky grin because the main characters finally get their happily-ever-after at the end.
She loves reading about happy endings but has more fun writing them.
